We built our business with hard work, help from friends/family and two credit cards.
Founded in 2010 with the planting of our first vineyard we have become one of Virginias most awarded wineries, despite being one of its smallest. We are old school Virginia wine...we still have AT THE BAR wine tastings (along with flights if you prefer), talk to the Owners about wine, enjoy the rustic and relaxing tasting room, take the stemware logo tasting glass home with you. You will have a WINE EXPERIENCE!
We offer both indoor and outdoor seating Our quiet atmosphere, pastoral views, and great company are a perfect way to wind down from the stress of the work week. Bring a picnic lunch, outside food is welcome. We are convenient to Orange, Fredericksburg, Lake Anna, Charlottesville, Richmond, Culpeper, Louisa and Barboursville.

"A most unlikely place to find such good wine!"
This was a comment made by one of our first customers. He was right, you would not expect to find such good wine on a working farm and sold out of an old barn. But what we lack in grand buildings we make up for with excellent wine, great service and a relaxing country atmosphere. If you judge wine by the curb appeal of the building it is sold from, then we are probably not for you. But if quality Virginia wine and down to earth, wine loving people are what appeals to you then we may be what you are looking for.
The Experience
Chateau MerrillAnne invites you to experience the farm elegance of our warm and intimate converted barn tasting room. A wine tasting here is not just about "Tasting" wine. It's also about getting the story behind the wine, hearing what food best pairs with each wine and WHY. It's about asking and answering questions and its about making new friends.
We are truly a wine lovers winery. Unfortunately we cant offer you theme parties of the week, live music, a brewery or a distillery. But if you are looking for incredible wine, where you can talk with and enjoy the company of friends in an incredibly laid-back environment...then we may be for you. Our Land
The farm now called Chateau MerrillAnne has been in the White family for over a half century. Our multi-generational ownership drives our stewardship of these scenic meadows. Our goal is to produce the finest Virginia wine and give our visitors a relaxing place to enjoy it.
