At Chateau MerrillAnne our mission is simple, to put the finest possible Virginia wine in the bottle and to offer it to our visitors as a great wine experience in a relaxing and stress free environment. Quality and variety are key factors to an incredible winery experience. The wines we produce rotate on the tasting sheet as they move from production to available and then back to production. 

We offer a great variety of quality Virginia wines. Among the many traditionally styled wines we offer are Viognier, "Duo" (our white blend), our crisp Vidal we call "Palace White", Bordeaux style varitals such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Petite Verdot, an incredible claret style red "Founded 1734", along with our signature Bordeaux blend, "Governor Spotswood Red". 

 NON traditionally styled wines include a big red fruit bomb called "Green and Royal", we have an orange style, fortified Viognier that thinks it's a Sherry called "Laranja", there is a Bourbon Barrel Norton that is one of our all time great sellers, a fruit forward Albarino, our limoncello clone we call "Vinocello", a tart cherry fortified wine called "Cher Ami", "Bucknell Manor" which is a fortified red that spent 19 months in bourbon barrels AND our Black Chardonnay.

We also offer traditional method sparkling wine ("Chat Petilant" and "Evelyn"), an off sweet Rose' called "Vin Gris" and a Norton/Bordeaux blend named "Marquis Rouge".

While we typically only enter 1 or 2 Regional or National competitions a year we have had incredible success. Chateau MerrillAnne is the only Virginia winery to win 8 medals per event four years in a row in the prestigious Atlantic Seaboard Wine Association competition from 2021 thru 2024.

As you can imagine it's a HUGE task maintaining a wine menu of this scope. To accomplish all this we work with two of Virginias most talented wine makers, Mike Heny and Jake Blodinger as well as producing wine onsite. Collaborating with both Mike and Jake has given us the opportunity to have stylistic control of the wine while having their incredible talents and resources to ensure the quality of every bottle. In addition Kenny currently produces 5 of our varieties on site in lots that are typically less than 100 cases.  While we have 2 vineyards on site totaling 5 1/2 acres we also source fruit from some of Virginias premier vineyards. Every single grape is Virginian. Our wines truly represent the finest of Virginia. 

The bottom line for us, and the mission that drives us, is to make sure that when you visit Chateau MerrillAnne you get the finest Virginia wine and the best wine experience that we can possibly provide. We hope you will be able to visit soon.
